Hexic was originally developed by Carbonated Games and was released on the MSN Games online service in July 2003. A downloadable deluxe edition was also made available soon after. A variation of the game called Hexic HD was later developed by Microsoft Game Studios (since renamed Xbox Game Studios) and Carbonated Games for the Xbox 360, and comes preinstalled on all Xbox 360 hard drives as part of the Xbox Live Arcade service; it was previously only available by calling Microsoft's Service Center but is now available on the Xbox Marketplace as a free download.[4] This version features online leaderboards and support for high-definition.
After spending an extended amount of time with HexicHD, I decided to try my hand at a free demo of the Xbox Live Arcade version of a PC/mobile puzzle classic aswell: Bejeweled 2Deluxe. Among the two puzzle games currently listed on Live Arcade for the 360, Bejeweled is the more polished of thepair, if only because it's slowly been refined for so long. The gameplay hasn't changed much from the Live Arcadeversion from the original Xbox, which I downloaded a free trial of as well. That kind of consistency can be a goodthing for great games, but, after having experienced the complexity of Hexic, the timed limits to the gameplayin Bejeweled seem just a little frustrating in comparison. PC users can download the PopCapplugin from the developer's web site and have at a free browser-based version without a 360, of course, but thenthey wouldn't have the fun of playing one of the most popular casual games of the last few years on the first consoleof the next generation. Just don't expect more than the first set of puzzles in this limited version.Bejeweled is fun, but I'd rather be playing its 360 HD puzzle brother on my Xbox.Overall Score: 7.5/10

Brilliant stuff, I'm just downloading the other 3 not mentioned by @ThanosReXXX in the forums. I wonder why these games are free anyway? Hopefully more become free in future and hopefully more of them will be full fat games rather than the 360 arcade style offerings, not that I'm complaining I love me a bit of free
